If you’re looking to spruce up the elegance of your home and leave your visitors agape, upgrading your staircase is a surefire way to do it. However, if you’re thinking about handling it on your own, save yourself the extra “steps”– American Stair & Rail has you covered.
Built from the ground up by Richard Kaplan in 1979, American Stair & Rail was a one-man show for decades before expanding to the larger scope it thrives at today. In their hometown of Lakewood, New Jersey, Richard worked alongside his wife Susan, learning the tricks of the trade purely by his own will to grow a successful business that would change lives for the better.
It was only a matter of time before Richard and Susan’s daughter Renee stepped in and engulfed herself in the heart of her parents’ business. She and her husband Steven Brown assumed more and more responsibilities, eventually taking the reins of the company and relocating to Jackson where the company currently resides. As Renee and Steven became exponentially committed, American Stair & Rail began to skyrocket. Together, they introduced exciting new aspects and groundbreaking designs for custom staircases and railings. The company now offers services for winding stairs, spiral stairs, curved stairs, and far more. Odds are, if you can imagine it, the team can pull it off.
Recently, Renee and Steven have introduced their two sons into the business, planting the seeds for a third generation of stair aficionados. However, American Stair & Rail’s familial nature doesn’t stop at those related by blood. Everyone in the company is incredibly close-knit, from the office staff to the installation team, the sales division to the builders, and all the way to the manufacturers in the in-house factory. They are all driven by a universal pride of watching their ambitious ideas come to life in flawless finished products.
Above all else, American Stair & Rail values personalized customer service. They remember every homeowner they work with, and leave a lasting impression right back– not only in the form of stunning stair and rail installations, but in the life-long relationships they cultivate.
